Amanda M...Day 254

Slept in til 640, no morning workout although I should have gone because I knew I wouldnt get up today to go.

Food was clean. Im getting SO bored with salads now that I can't put my beloved bleu or gorgonzola cheese on them. So I made up some shrimp and broccoli stuff. Being addicted to food network has it's benefits...tons of cooking tips.

Was a good workout. Blew through the first round but after those damn airdynes I was completely spent. As I look around at the other women, not a single one was bent over and dying like I was after the sprints. There are some moments when I get flashbacks of being at my other gym...the only girl who looks like a serious hot mess. What gives??

Doing the DU workout today...tried working on them last night but it wasn't looking too good. Going to do it before the workout so I have energy for it.

  1. I figure i'll do mine after the workout, then at least i'll have an excuse in my head as to why I only got 2 or 3 DUs!

  2. Hey I was that girl too! Till one day at my old gym this random woman that was there at the same time just suddenly came up to me when I was done and said, "you are the hardest working gym member in here!" Well of course that made my day. Was she just being nice and telling a bold face lie. Who knows, who cares. I ate it up!
    Keep in mind that sometimes your also pushing more weight as well. Alot of the other gals I'm sure weren't doing Rx on the push jerks. Or killing those rope slams like I know you did. So take that into consideration. I know I do. And personally for me not only do I consider how much effort I'm putting into something but I have to considered how much of my weight I'm lugging around. I'm sure I wouldn't be dying at the end of a wod if I weighed a dainty 120#. At that weight I would be dainty, glowing not sweating, panting not gasping for air ;-)
