What a day! Woke up and wasn't that rested at all. I was very anxious and excited to get the show on the road today. Serious competition training at CFM and I went balls out and did the best I could. It was a great experience. I certainly found out where I stack up against real competitors. I have a lot of work to do in a short period of time (I find myself saying this all the time when it comes to CrossFit...I wish had started a long time ago). Every athlete gave 110%, no messing around PERIOD! I'm so close to getting muscle ups...they are right there just need to get the transition down. I PRed on Clean and Jerks but my flexibility and technique really hinder me from putting up big numbers. I learned alot today...about myself, about competing and most importantly what I need to do to get better and take it to the next level. I am so thankful for what Jay did for us today. Oh and I'm pretty sore and tired now.
Breakfest: 3 eggs/2 yolks w/grilled red onion and TJs bacon, 1 black coffee, 2 waters and a vitacoco
Snack 1 during training camp: 1 Paleo Kit and a couple mini paleo muffins...they were so good
Snack 2 during training camp: 1 serving macadamia nuts and 1 vitacoco
Lunch 1: during training camp: Ground beef w/red onion and garlic, grape tomatoes, sliced olives w/chopped summer squash
Post training camp protein shake
Lunch 2: Turkey burger patty with Brussels sprouts
Dinner: Plan B-Bourbon BBQ tenders (yup approx. 4) and a burger in the grass (means atop of an iceberg lettuce wedge) with green fries (green beans)
I decided that instead of getting a funny bone which is there flagship dessert I'd have 3 tall Three Olives Grape with club soda. Way less calories...HAHA!
One thing I will never forget about today was the sound of thousands of lbs of weight being smashed off the floor by about 20 dudes and 10 ladies. It was electric!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome experience. wish I can get to that level someday. Nice job man.
ReplyDeleteThank you sir.
ReplyDeleteNiel- You are going to kick ASS at the games- all the adrenaline pumping- it is all going to come together. Wish I was at that elite level- I know my nutrition in the past has held me back- that's changing this year!
